Largest Ammonite ever discovered!

We normally make necklaces out of these “little guys”…..But how is this MONSTER!?!?

This specimen of Parapuzosia seppenradensis was found in rock about 78 million years old at Seppenrade near Munster in Germany. It was discovered in 1895 by Prof Hermann Landois and currently on display at the Munster Natural History Museum (Westfälischen Landesmuseum für Naturkunde). It has a diametre of 8 feet, 6 inches and weighs 3,5 tons!

Certainly not suitable as a pendant 🙂
